today went down to ngee ann city to watch funkamania...some hip hop thing organised by nus, co sponsored by lime, lee jeans, eastpak...blah blah...
now i know why nus wins every year...like
every year...cos i think there were 9 teams out of the 12 that are from nus lor!! sheesh...
oh and ryan was one of the judges! most underdressed judge of the year! hahaha...but he made it up with colour! red shirt! hahaha...aiya jus like the way he is =) wats impt is that he's got quality stuff!
and yes yes, we'll brush up on technique...
anyways the items were pretty good, loads of nifty grooves and booty shaking up there...man those gals can shake!! some were creative...some were plain slutty!! like er...eurythymics?!?! or something la...then there was this team wearing read and black samurai looking stuff...pvc!! eek!
but it inspires me to wanna learn the reggae even more! shake those booty!!
the 1st 2 positions were deserving, nra altitude and the little white hoods or somethin...loved the best male dancer alvin tan's grooves...really got the "say", look so natural and at ease on stage...
tot the 3rd place was lousy, there were other teams more deserving of the award...like the last team...old school hip hop...refreshing!
oh well...hopefully we can represent sim and compete next year...show those nus buggers some real stuff....muahahaha....
jus last sat i attended janice's 21st b'day celebration. was a simple affair at a pasir ris chalet...
her famil n frens were there...
didn't really do much, maybe cos her family was there...kinda prompted me to do 2 seperate events for my own celebration, one for family and one for frens...though a bit troublesome.
honestly i also dunno how it'd turn out cos afterall i have several groups of frens...and from wat i experienced on sat...the cliques usually dun mix and interact...unless i organise some games or something....hmmm... will see...
in any case, fraser and johnathan turned up!!!!!! its been ages since we last saw them...so it was nice to finally catch up...all didn't really change much la...
i had alot of fun "suaning" johnathan... mauhahaha...

its a beautiful show...moving plot and good cinematography...should chk whether hmv sells it...
today went to watch the sea inside...s real life story bout this spanish quadriplegic... who seeks to kill himself.
the court refused euthanasia...eventually he killed himself with the help of his frens...drank cyanide or something...
may sound morbid...but the show is far from it...in meng's words, which i agree, it's pretty "life affirming"
a must watch in my opinion...
maybe cos of today's lesson on framing, technique, lighting, videography...throughout the show i was noticing the images and ways the scenes was shot that i nearly forgot to read the subtitles...hahaha....the show's in spanish btw...

horrible week
been feeling quite rubbishy lately...this whole week sucks...
stressed out from the "not so near yet not so far" exams. thanks to my frens who kept reminding me that exams is just round the corner, like i don't know that already...
looking at the heap of notes piling up on my table really didn't help one bit...
and this whole week i've got stomach ache...like on and off...just refused to go away...darn...
then at DMH, tony kept giving us assignments...that stupid tripod stand was like 5kg la!!! how to carry it around to take shots!!! just doing it around the neighbourhood already want my life lor...
at dance can't really perform...school was tiring enough, and that stupid ryan expect us to pick up the moves just after showing it us twice!! sheesh...
there were some highlights here and there la...basically the presence of some people...but still quite demoralised...cos ultimately they dun last... whatever...
i think its pms....man i hate the red monster...hope it gets over and done with fast...
oh and i spent alot this whole week alone...like ALOT!!!! sigh....still wanna watch alot of movies but think of the money and the time spent and studies...

so why bother? cos we only get to live once? maybe, if there are other earth like planets in the universe...we'll get to live there, after life here...

no new year resolutions this year...maybe not yet...
somehow this new year seems rather like evey other day...nothing special...
but i had a great time yest.
woke up really late...weather sucks! was raining and freaking cold...
then had to prepare to go cck...visit my uncle and celebrate my cousin's birthday...
there was a bbq but i had to miss it, promised to go for my jc's dinner gathering...but never mind la. got to eat the bbq food for lunch today...which was damn good! cos my uncles are really good cooks and they are suppose generous when it comes to food...
they buy the best prawns, chicken pork, beef, sausage...yum!!!
had dinner at this indian muslim restaurant called nirvana opp mustafa...its really impt that we find a halal restaurant that's vegetarian friendly...cos there are several muslims and vegetarians in my class...
but! the irony is! only the chinese carnivors turned up!!!!!!!! oh yea there was az...hee...

ms lee turned up too!!!!! in a mini skirt! a really really mini skirt! *phweeeeet*
it was nice...jus us...yakking away...with az around, bound to have loads to laugh about =)

the gals left first...az had to go east coast, evan was too tired or something...
then went to play pool at cine =) full of crap la! didn't know putting these guys at the table would be so full of nonsense! laughed till my tummy ached!!!!!!!!

we should consider gathering at pool, ktv, or something...that'll be pretty interesting...lol
reached home at bout 2 plus in the morn...can't join the boys for supper...having some gastric problems...

today when i woke up, its raining very badly...it was a vision of blur when i looked out of the window...what a start to 2005...
so anyway...I really miss home! woke up to the familiar smell of dad's freshly brewed coffee, mum's chatter in the kitchen, and bro reading the papers...i wanna sleep somemore on my smelly bed...but it's 12.25 in the afternoon already...
2nd day after i came back from Sydney and Melbourne...The scenery there was really nice, got to see the 3 sisters, 12 apostles, the penguins on Philip island...blah blah...Really nice...
but I really hope that I can go on a holiday with my whole family. My parents, my 2 brothers and me! But my 2 brothers are too busy with their work =(
so everything nice bout Australia, except that there are
a lot of flies in summer!!!!!!!! and I mean
ALOT!!!!!!!!!!
Melbourne didn't have as much flies as compared to Sydney, but at the 1st stop of the great ocean park, there was so much flies, that many pple refused to get off the coach at the 2nd and 3rd stop...hahaha...
oh and its really really cold in Australia now even though its summer. Actually there was the sun, but its the wind that's really chilly...So much so that the sun couldn't warm us enough with the wind constantly blowing.
went on a tour as usual, most of the time was spent on the coach. Traveled uphills and downhills for 2-3 hrs jus to stop at a site for 15-30min and then we are on our way again...Nearly puked!
in short what i did there...
-went sight seeing
-visited casino in sydney, by fluke won 80 bucks at jackpot.
-went sight seeing again
-visited crown casino in melbourne (3rd largest in the world) didn't win anything.
-visited queen victoria's market, bought alot of fruits like mangos, cherries, peaches
-went shopping at myers
oh! and on this trip, there was a member(A) in my tour group who looked like someone i know!
the resemblance was uncanny!!
actually i didn't notice it until i happen to be thinking of my fren(B) then i realised that hey! that guy looked really like him! hahaha...
well it doesn't help that i (A) looks so much like (B) cos i couldn't stop thinking bout him throughout the trip la! so annoying!
oh well...
and, i also happen to meet someone else on the plane...i didn't notice he was on the same plane as me until i saw him at DFS arrivals...in fact this is the 3rd time i met him...dunno whether he noticed anot...
btw that guy appeared on this chinese variety programme about school belles and hunks...forgot which poly or uni he was nominated from, but i'm sure he's the one who appeared on TV. hmmm....talk bout coincidence...to think i was on the same plane as him...it would have been quite scary if i bump into him in melbourne...hahaha...
